Contact details and communication preferences
Do we have your correct
contact information?
With more and more communication happening digitally, we want to make sure the contact information we have on file for you is your up-to-date and correct information.
Reasons we may contact you:
- Appointment confirmations, reminders or amendments.
- Test results
- Messages about your specific health needs e.g. Management plans, vaccination invitations.
- To provide patient information leaflets and useful links following appointments.
- Regarding a referral.
- Status updates for medical records, private work or letter requests.
- Practice updates.
Things to think about:
- Have you changed your number or email address? Did you tell us when you changed them?
- We will likely have had a parent/guardians number on file until you were 16, have you ever provided us with your own contact details?
- Do you share an email address with someone else? We can only add individual emails to your record, shared email accounts cannot be used.
- Do we have your current address? While we will communicate via SMS or email, if we are unable to contact you using these methods we may need to send you a letter.
- Do you have a preferred communication method? By default, a lot of our communication is using SMS, if you prefer to receive communication via email, including messages with links and attachments, make sure to let us know.
